This year Mother’s Day turns 100!

In the 1850s, its founder, Anne Jarvis of West Virginia original purpose was to support mourning women and to remember fallen soldiers and work for peace.  In the 1850s Anne Jarvis organized Mother’s Day work clubs to improve sanitary conditions and try to lower infant mortality by fighting disease and curbing milk contamination. During the Civil War, Mother’s Day events included caring for wounded soldiers on both sides

Anna Jarvis, the daughter of Anne Jarvis never had children of her own.  However, the passing of her own Mother in 1905 caused Anna to organize the first Mother’s Day observance on May 10, 1908.  Mother’s Day official National observance started in 1917.

Mother’s Day was established not to celebrate all mothers. It was to celebrate the best mother you've ever known—your mother—as a son or a daughter.  That's why Jarvis stressed the singular "Mother's Day," rather than the plural "Mothers' Day".

Today, we celebrate Mother’s Day by pampering ourselves and our mothers to a high extent.  Serenity Skin Care is here to help you celebrate.  We look forward to providing you the kind of skin care services that the world’s greatest Mothers deserve.   We insist that you purchase beautiful flowers for your Mother take her to dinner and by all means, pamper her with a visit to Serenity Skin Care!

On this 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day, Serenity Skin Care wishes all mothers a heartfelt “Happy Mother’s Day”!
